TIBASKO CONTINUE METEORIC RISE WITH SEMINAL NEW TRACK ‘SNIF n SNÜF’

Out now on [PIAS] Électronique

The duo are one of the UK’s leading breakthrough electronic music acts of recent years

Entering a new era with a new record deal with PIAS, ‘Snif n Snüf’ sees TIBASKO channel the hands-in-the-air energy from their sold out club night at Colour Factor earlier this year, with breakbeat and 90s rave influences.

Taking no prisoners, ‘Snif & Snüf’ is a dark, jagged techno banger built around repeated vocal samples that seep into the skull. It’s a typically otherworldly track from TIBASKO, full of industrial sounds and bubbling synth melodies that collide against each other in controlled chaos.

Kicking off a big summer 2024, the group will debut a live hardware set at The Great Escape in May, host their own stage at Brockwood Festival in July, London headline at Night Tales in August.

‘Snif n Snüf’ is the duo’s first single since ‘Freedom (In Ur Mind)’, released late last year following a hectic summer of festivals including GlastonburyReading and Leeds, as well as a supporting slot on Elderbrook’s Little Love tour. Since then, they’ve also completed their ‘Lady Godiva’ UK Headline tour, released remixes of ‘Freedom (In Ur Mind)’ by MAFRO and Kiimi, and contributed their own remix of recent Golden Features track ‘Hound’.

Ken Petalcorin and Andy Bowden, known as TIBASKO, are establishing themselves as purveyors of an epic, highly melodic sound that tears off somewhere between breaks, melodic techno, and trance. Their signature sound and dynamic performances have taken them global, paving the way for an electrifying ascent as a mainstay artist.

Their music has been championed by the likes of HAAi, Bonobo, John Hopkins, DJ Seinfeld, Diplo, TSHA, I. Jordan, O’Flynn and Skream as well as being tipped for greatness by everyone from DJ Mag and BBC Radio 1 to Billboard and Mixmag.

Snif n Snüf’ rproves that the hype is more than justified, and confirms TIBASKO are here to stay as a fulcrum of the UK electronic scene.
