The summer season is here – but that wouldn’t be complete without some sun-drenched Afrofusion music. Fear not, SIMXZ has the remedy. The Nigerian-born, South-East London based singer shares his new single ‘B.A.D’ (Beautiful and dangerous) taken off of his debut EP ‘Two. Four. Seven.’ out now on all platforms.
With his aptitude for blending an array of genres tracing back to his childhood discovery of music – exploiting the familiar sounds of Afrobeats, ‘B.A.D’ (Beautiful and dangerous)’ has been supported by fans and key tastemakers alike. SIMXZ oozes a familiar confidence encouraging dance and enjoyment, with his intentions evident from the first line of the catchy chorus. Taking a dive into his cultural heritage, ‘B.A.D’ crafted in collaboration with burgeoning producer Damibones.
Speaking on ‘B.A.D’, SIMXZ said “Some things are Beautiful and Dangerous”. SIXMZ’s career continues to jump from strength to strength, as his flair springs from his distinctive melodies which when put in tandem with his often-dynamic beat selections, provides a surreal experience to his fans and listeners alike.
SIMXZ was first introduced to music from a young age of 5 as part of a choir in Nigeria, learnt to play different percussion’s and the drums which are parts of the foundations of his sound. He was initially part of a duo called “S-Wave” which went on a hiatus in 2022. Since 2022 SIMXZ has released ‘Nobody’ and ‘EMJC’ and featured on songs like ‘ALA OMG’ before delivering his debut EP ‘Two. Four. Seven’, released in July 2023.
