SPINALL TAPS WIZKID FOR HYPNOTIC CLUB ANTHEM “LOJU”

Award-winning DJ, record producer, label owner, and songwriter SPINALL reunites with frequent collaborator WizKid on “Loju,” an emotionally resonant Afrobeats anthem that showcases their mastery of the genre. Listen  HERE via Epic Records. “Loju” is SPINALL’s first single since joining the label and follows on the heels of the Nigerian artist’s acclaimed 2023 album TOP BOY.

In the colorful clip, SPINALL and WizKid pull up at a house party in their flashy sports cars and proceed to turn up with a roomful of friends and sexy dancers. Revelers let their hair down around a pool table, while the hitmakers eventually take the party outside and then — ultimately — on to the roof of the building. It’s a breezy good time that captures the essence of “Loju” perfectly.

You know me and WizKid always have a great history of making super special records,” SPINALL says of their latest collaboration. “We’ve repeated this not once, not twice and this isn’t any different.” Given their track record, which includes 2018’s “Nowo” and 2019’s “Dis Love,” his confidence is completely understandable. “It’s an amazing record,” he adds. “It’s a beautiful song and I can’t wait for everybody to hear it.”

Loju” follows The Agenda: February 2023 (DJ Mix) and TOP BOY, SPINALL’s sixth full-lengthalbum. Since his 2014 debut “Gba Gbe E“featuring Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy, the Lagos-born hitmaker has become one of Africa’s most successful DJs. He is also celebrated for helping the global crossover of African music, having worked with artists such as Dr. Dre, Kranium, Asake, Summer Walker, Mr Eazi, Davido, Stefflon Don, and 6lack.

In 2019, SPINALL made history as the only Nigerian DJ to perform at Glastonbury. The year before, he was announced as a Pepsi brand ambassador and was featured in the 2018 Pepsi World Cup campaign. SPINALL was one of the first African DJs to perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and later toured six states including New York, Miami, and Washington DC. Additionally, he founded The CAPMusic, a record label and management company.

Now, with a crossover-friendly smash like “Loju” and the full support of Epic Records, there’s no stopping SPINALL in 2023.
