Well-known for her delicate vocals and anthemic sound, purpl is continuing to build the momentum towards her forthcoming EP, setting the bar higher than before. The latest hypnotic release “Salad” pays homage to her hometown of Bristol and its musical roots. Serving a slice of feel-good fun, “Salad” is a playful love song that’s laced with nostalgic elements. Following up from Spotify New Music Friday and New in Pop Ft  “Trippin” which gained various online accolades, purpl continues to solidify her status as an unrivalled trailblazer.

Building a minimalist yet futuristic sound that’s resonating with many across the nation, Saladis a love song that weaves in between trip-hop and the nostalgia of the 90’s. Detailing the emotions that come with a new love interest, purpl’s ethereal vocal tone sits seamlessly against the production. Challenging herself lyrically, “Salad” didn’t follow a conventional route when being made.

Making her debut back in 2020, purpl was quick to solidify herself as a promising act in the alternative pop scene. Having now built a following for her genre-bending sound that blends elements of R&B with left-field genre’s courtesy of heavy-weight producers Sky Adams, Lostboy, and Paul Stanborough, purpl’s delicate and relatable lyricism has connected with many across the nation.

Releasing a string of singles in 2022  that garnered praise from BBC Radio 1 as well as a headlining slot at BBC Introducing Live, the likes of Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, Clash Magazine, HOEZINE, and more have sent purpl accolades. Posing as the opening act on tour for Jessie Jo Stark, Moon Panda, and Loviet, as well performances at The Bristol Beacon and London’s The Halley X DMY live sessions. purpl kick started the year with a headline show at The Waiting Room for Access All Areas, emphasising her position as a trailblazer in British music.
