In Times New Roman… Villains come …Like Clockwork

In Times New Roman…‘ is raw, brutal and rough around the edges, but with a refinement that reveals itself further with every listen. QOTSA founder Joshua Homme’s lyrics are the sharpest to date and are backed by QOTSA’s instantly recognizable sonic signature, expanded and embellished with new and unprecedented twists in virtually every track. “In Times New Roman…” is a celebration of the obscene and the beautiful, the outcasts and the weirdos, and everyone in between.

The members of QOTSA felt a little out of place and had trouble finding music they could identify with: In Times New Roman… the sound of a band making the music its own members want to hear, while keeping the gives the rest of us a sonic forum to come together. “The world’s gonna end in a month or two” sings Homme, raising the question: What do you want to do with the time you have left? Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Dean Fertita, Michael Shuman and Jon Theodore can maybe not saving, but with their new album they give us a place to sit it out.

In Times New Roman… was recorded and mixed in Homme’s own Pink Duck (RIP), with additional recording in Shangri-La. The album was produced by Queens of the Stone Age and mixed by Mark Rankin. The album will be available on all digital platforms, on vinyl and CD. The artwork and double LP were designed by Boneface. Vinyl will be available worldwide in black, green, red, silver and blue.
