JOHN GLACIER ANNOUNCES HER SIGNING TO YOUNG

announces her new EP “Like A Ribbon”

The first single from the EP is the song ‘Money Shows’, a collaboration with Eartheater.

Produced by Kwes Darko and inspired by the sounds of post-punk and gloomy London, ‘Money Shows‘ is a mesmerizing track that takes full advantage of John Glacier’s flow to snap the listener out of the daze they are in while listening. Eartheater’s siren song elevates the song to uplifting levels, creating a work that begins minimalistically and grows in scope with each passing moment. The self-directed video marks the first visual appearance from John, who deliberately did not appear in any clips for her previous work. ‘Money Shows’ marks a step into the spotlight for one of the most elusive artists in the British rap scene. Due February 23, John Glacier’s “Like A Ribbon” is a five-track expansion of the sonic world she’s suggested in her previous work. Featuring production from Flume, Vegyn and Kwes Darko, among others, the EP paints a vivid portrait of an artist true to her roots, thrown into a fantasy world as she tries to understand her own thoughts and new environment.

Even before the release of her debut project SHILOH: Lost For Words, Hackney-born rapper, producer and poet John Glacier is already a force in London’s celebrated rap scene. Notable collaborations with artists such as Vegyn, Babyfather and LYAM confirmed her promise, while her first project reinforced it; a surreal, diary-like daydream through the inner psyche of one of the most intriguing minds on the British music scene. In addition to becoming the face of Daniel Lee’s first global campaign for Burberry and walking for Marine Serre at Fashion Week, Glacier also began to gain global fame by working with in-demand NY production team Surf Gang last year on an impromptu collaborative project, JGSG.
