JARREAU VANDAL RETURNS WITH AN ENTHRALLING AND GENRE PUSHING NEW EP ENTITLED ‘SABISOund’ ON HEAR THIS RECORDS

Out 5th May ‘23, the 5 track projects sees the Dutch creative delve into the un-tapped beats and rhythms of the Caribbean and South America, using his much lauded production skills to set these traditional rhythms to a razor sharp contemporary productions, inspired by a range of electronic genres such as Amapiano, House, Bass and Electro. Taking inspiration from his heritage and the Kawina music from his father’s country Suriname, Vandal explains the inspiration behind the EP:

“I wanted to incorporate music from my Dad’s country Suriname with electronic music and other genres. It took me a year to finally find the sound I was really looking for.” He continues “With this project I wanted to introduce my international listeners and followers to the surinamese music called “Kawina” and language, mixed with Amapiano from South Africa, which also shares a colonial history with the Netherlands.”

The full EP follows the two lead singles No More Ft. Gayance and ‘Ede Weri (Srananpiano)’, which have given fans a glimpse into his eclectic new sound on the EP. Upon release, Vandal will be dropping the focus track ‘Dance For Me Ft. Disaffected & Yung Dada’ and has 2 live shows (in Amsterdam and London) on release week to celebrate the EP.

If Vandal could be described using one word, it would be versatile. From DJing hundreds of club shows across the world, to officially remixing some of the world’s biggest pop acts like RihannaDua Lipa and Mahalia, Vandal’s wide ranging career boasts highlights such as several mixes and sets for BoileroomMixmag LABDiplo & Friends, plus live sessions for Colors and Red Bull.

Having been exposed to a wide variety of musical influences right from gospel and soul to jazz and house, Vandal’s musical identity is organic as he aims to combine everything that inspires him, turning it into his own authentic, one-of-a-kind brand of music with a focus on putting out good vibes.

SABISOund’ sees Jarreau Vandal continue to set him apart from his contemporaries across the global club scene.
