FAOUZIA CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY WITH “WHAT A WOMAN”

INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ARTIST SHARES EMPOWERING NEW ANTHEM

“One of the most powerful new voices you’ll hear this year.” – BILLBOARD

“Certain voices illicit deeper feelings and awe-stricken reactions than others, and many of those people become modern-day ‘legends’ in our society…One such voice that demands to be heard belongs to Faouzia.” – LADYGUNN

Moroccan-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Faouzia is celebrating Mother’s Day and her own Berber heritage with the empowering new single, “What A Woman”.

“‘What a Woman’ to me is an anthem from women to the world,” says Faouzia. “Generations upon generations of women have led me to be here today to write and sing this song. Millions of experiences have shaped others to shape me to, in turn, shape others. This is what ‘What a Woman’ means to me. This essence/message of this song has existed before me, and will exist after me because there is a universal truth in the fact that women were/are/will always be magical and powerful beings.”

What A Woman” marks the newest musical chapter for the 2023 Juno Awards “Songwriter of the Year” nominee, arriving soon after the release earlier this year of the deeply moving “Fur Elise,” produced by Gray Hawken (Jack Harlow, Joyner Lucas) and of course inspired by the beloved bagatelle by Ludwig van Beethoven. A stunning live performance video is streaming now at YouTube – Watch HERE.

Recently featured on VULTURES 1, the debut album from hip-hop duo ¥$ (comprised of Ye and Ty Dolla $ign), Faouzia continues to earn worldwide applause for her spellbinding voice, fierce intelligence, contagious charisma, and larger-than-life talent. 2023 saw the award-wining artist release such singles as the luminous “IL0V3Y0U,” preceded by the fiercely energetic “La La La” and its equally vibrant Ty Sunderland Remix.  Last year further saw the internationally acclaimed star share such spectacular dance-pop hits as “Don’t Call Me” and “Plastic Therapy,” both produced by Ryan McMahon (Marina, Addison Rae), along with the  viral smash, “I’m Blue.” A haunting and ethereal new rendition of Eiffel 65’s worldwide #1 hit, “Blue (Da Ba Dee),” the track was first recorded by Faouzia more than three years ago, earning millions of worldwide streams and 5.3M video views via YouTube HERE. “I’m Blue” was also featured in the smash Netflix series, Red Rose, rocketing it to Shazam’s “Top 200” in Germany, France, and the UK.
