Le Guess Who? returns from November 7-10, 2024 for the 17th edition in Utrecht

Widely regarded as one of the most progressive festivals, Le Guess Who? aiming to promote sounds that are often overlooked, and provide new perspectives on what is possible in music.

Every year Le Guess invites Who? invites groundbreaking creatives to curate their own programs, showcasing their inspirations, emerging acts and like-minded artists, with an emphasis on discovery and exploration. This edition contains curated programs from Arooj Aftab, Bo Ningen, Crystallmess, DARKSIDE, Mabe Fratti and Touching Bass.

The DARKSIDE-curated program includes trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, creative composer/performer and author Wadada Leo Smith; the Iranian artist Cinna Peyghamy, who creates encounters between the tombak (a traditional Persian instrument) and the modular synthesizer; acclaimed transdisciplinary scholar, vocalist, wordsmith, jalatarangam (a traditional Indian percussion instrument) artist and double bassist ganavya; Palestinian artists Maya Al Khaldi and Sarouna together with visual artist Dina Mimi, presenting songs from Al Khaldi’s debut album, which imagines a new sonic future inspired by the folklore of Palestine; and Phantom Orchard, the duo project of composer, harpist and multi-instrumentalist Zeena Parkins and electronic music composer and drummer Ikue Mori.

Founded by multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington and electronic producer Nicolás Jaar, DARKSIDE will perform at Le Guess Who? 2024 with their newest member, drummer Tlacael Esparza.
