BLOSSOMS REVEAL BRAND-NEW SINGLE “WHAT CAN I SAY AFTER I’M SORRY?”

Blossoms have today revealed their brand-new single What Can I Say After I’m Sorry? and its accompanying video, directed by Ewan Ogden and the band’s Tom Ogden. The video features a cameo appearance from Everton Football Club’s manager Sean Dyche and sees the band steal ‘Gary the Gorilla’, an 8-foot fibreglass gorilla taken from a Lancashire garden centre last year, a story that received widespread media attention at the time.

Speaking about his involvement, Sean Dyche says: “I was delighted to be asked to appear in Blossom’s new video, and it was great to have a ‘craic’ with them whilst filming. Great lads and a great band … Loving what they all produce”.

What Can I Say After I’m Sorry? is produced by J Lloyd from Jungle andconsistent Blossoms collaborator James Skelly of The Coral. The track is the first new music from the band since their 2023 single To Do List (After The Breakup), featuring Findlay.

Speaking about the single, Blossoms add: “We’ve always been big fans of Jungle so we reached out to them last year about working together. This was the first song we worked on, it came together in a couple of hours and we absolutely love it. Sonically, it feels like a new avenue for the band but it still retains the core Blossoms DNA”.

Since forming in 2013, Blossoms have enjoyed widespread success and acclaim. Their 2016 debut Blossoms topped the album charts for two consecutive weeks and went on to earn the band BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations, while 2018’s Cool Like You charted at Number 4 in the UK album chart, spawning the anthemic singles I Can’t Stand ItThere’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls) and How Long Will This Last? Their third studio album, 2020’s Foolish Loving Spaces was the band’s second UK Number 1 album, while their fourth studio LP Ribbon Around The Bomb gave the band their third UK Number 1 album, with the record’s standout tracks Ode To NYCThe Sulking Poet and Care For well established as fan favourites. Blossoms have had five top 5 albums in the UK, including their In Isolation/Live From The Plaza TheatreStockport release.
