ALTERNATIVE R&B ARTIST JOËL LOBBAN RELEASES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EP I STILL THINK ABOUT YOU

“most exciting and unpredictable new prospects” — Pigeons and Planes

alternative R&B artist Joël Lobban shares his highly-anticipated EP, I Still Think About You out now via Def Jam Recordings stateside and Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. His latest 4-track EP, which includes singles “Thinking About You” and “Millionth Time,” follows his debut 2020 LP GRUNGE GOSPEL, taking listeners on a sonic journey through the highs and lows of love and constantly thinking about that special someone.

Spent a lifetime tryna really figure out love, still haven’t wrapped my head around it,” Joël speaks on the EP, “I penned four songs that got me through the lockdown era. Can’t wait to share, but for now, let’s just say I’ve been there too.”

I Still Think About Youco-produced by Joël’s long-time collaborator Colin Monroe (Drake, Kendrick Lamar) and producers Aidan Garrett Rodriguez (Lucky Daye, Remi Wolf), Akeel Henry (John Legend, Giveon), Kemy (Jessie Reyez, Rema), and M-Phazes (Jennifer Lopez, Marc. E Bassy) — features Joël’s signature smooth vocals and mellow rhythm that shine on new tracks, “Crazy” and “Wait For Me” ft. Marzz, ushering in a new era of music from the rising R&B star.

After establishing himself as an artist to watch with the release of his debut album GRUNGE GOSPEL in 2020, Joël garnered praise for his unique blend of experimental R&B and powerful vocal abilities. His musical style beautifully intertwines gospel influences from his upbringing as a pastor’s son with a nostalgic nod to 90’s era-rock, drawing inspiration from bands like Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins.  Taking a step back to refine his artistic vision for his next project, Joël released “Thinking About You” in 2023, featured on his latest project I Still Think About You out now.
