A Cinematic Alt-R&B Statement Arriving August 15th
London-based alt-rnb artist Elle Massimo is poised to make her mark with the release of her debut EP, RED SKIES IN THE DISTANCE, available on all major streaming platforms from Friday, August 15th and will contain an unreleased track ‘LOEWE‘ The project is a deeply personal and visually arresting body of work that positions Massimo as one of the most compelling new voices in alternative R&B.
Written entirely by Massimo in London, the EP features a curated lineup of collaborators who bring depth and texture to her sonic vision. Among them are Connor Seidel (Katie Tupper, Charlotte Cardin), Sam Posener (James Vickery, Kadeem Tyrel), and Amelia Rose (Carlos Abril, Paul Grant). The final single, “LOEWE,” produced by Amelia Rose and mastered by Kevin Tuffy (Sinead Harnett, Debbie, Chaka Khan), captures the emotional turbulence of new love with cinematic precision.
Massimo’s earlier singles—“Type of Girl U Need,” “RED SKIES,” “Is This Really Done,” and “POV”—have already earned critical acclaim and a loyal following, each track offering a glimpse into the artist’s introspective yet assertive world. Now, with RED SKIES IN THE DISTANCE, she delivers a cohesive narrative that explores vulnerability, desire, and self-definition.
The EP’s artwork, conceptualized and produced by Elle herself, was shot by Ella Costache (BINA) and styled by Ana Pereira (Nectar Woode) in East London. The visuals reflect Massimo’s commitment to authenticity and her background in fashion and visual storytelling. A behind-the-scenes look at the shoot and a self-directed visualiser will be released across her social channels, offering fans a deeper look into the creative process.
