After recently announcing the details for his long-awaited debut album ‘MRI‘, set for release on September 8th via Believe (pre-save HERE), VC Pines has now delivered the official video for his latest single “Colours“.
Marked as one of the more immersive additions to his forthcoming full-length, the visuals for “Colours” sees the artist venture across the streets of Peckham, adding to the woozy nighttime vibe of the original release. Delivering a sense of flair to the urban surroundings with his vibrant persona, the video truly captures the embracing yet isolated nature of his latest outing.
Adding about the new video, he said, “For the Colours video, I really wanted to capture the feel of the song. Its unpredictability, the yearning and the journey itself are showcased on the streets of Peckham and various surrounding night bus routes. It was important to myself and Apollo Films to keep the light hearted nature of the song in the video, whilst also making it feel ‘late at night’. Weve all texted an ex or someone we shouldn’t after a few too many, but leave the dancing in phone boxes to me yeah?”
The new video for “Colours” also coincides with the announcement of his first Glastonbury Festival performance later this year. Taking to the Greenpeace stage on Thursday afternoon, the live show adds to his already bulging festival circuit this summer as well.
Talking about his Glastonbury announcement, “It’s been a dream since school to play at Glastonbury. It’s always seemed like something a million miles away, like an ‘I’ll get there one day’ thought. Now I’m like… am I there” Have I done it” Surely not!!?Haha, it’s a pleasure to have been asked by the Greenpeace stage too, I’ve actually never been to Glasto but I’ve heard it’s an exciting area of the festival. I’ll be hitting that stage Thursday 3pm and also playing for PRS on the Friday for anyone who’s blagged a hospitality ticket!”
VC Pines is also planning an extensive run of headline shows – tickets on sale HERE and festival appearances later this year, including slots at El Dorado, Secret Garden Party, Boardmasters and many more. See below for the full list of live shows coming up.
