A genre-bending collaboration that bridges UK and Swedish alt-pop scenes with futuristic flair
Continuing to boast her genre-bending sound inspired by 00’s sonics, the Swedish Grammy-nominated artist Izza Gara has enlisted fellow UK trailblazer Miso Extra for her spellbinding single, “3000”. Leading up to the release of Gara’s forthcoming EP ‘Superbia Hardcore’, this enchanting single follows the August release “Favour”, gaining support from Ones To Watch, COLORS, Stanisland Magazine, FAME Magazine and more. Solidifying her one-to-watch status with her head-turning sound, “3000” is a taste of what’s yet to come from Izza Gara.
Channeling her signature sound that weaves elements of 00’s Electro, Pop and R&B into one seamless listen, “3000” sits comfortably in a futuristic space whilst still maintaining an essence of nostalgia. Glazing the self-produced beat with her slick vocals and sharp lyricism, the moody production compliments both Izza Gara and Miso Extra’s artistic approach perfectly. Each bringing their own style to the table, connecting the UK and Sweden in a single that pushes sonic blueprints– “3000” is a must-listen!
When asked about the creative process behind “3000” Izza Gara commented,
“Making 3000 felt like spreading butter on warm bread, everything just went so smooth and felt so familiar even though it’s my first legit hip hop song. I really treated the process as a playground and did it like a ”fun song” that I didn’t think I was ever going to release. But it’s a banger and bringing Miso Extra on the song really felt like putting the last piece to the puzzle, so here we are.”
Izza Gara is one of the most dynamic voices emerging from Sweden’s contemporary electronic scene. Born and raised in Gothenburg with Turkish/Swedish roots, her artistic journey began early, shaped by the vibrant underground dance community. Growing up on MTV and early 2000s music videos, she developed an obsession for Popping and Hip-hop, laying the foundation for the movement driven performances she’s known for today.
In her late teens, Izza expanded her creative world through painting and exhibiting her work at cultural venues around Gothenburg. Her high school studies in design continue to influence her approach to her art, balancing emotional depth with structure and visual intent.
Now based in Stockholm, Izza stands out in the alternative electro/dance scene for her soft, expressive vocals, stripped-down and playful production and genre-blending beats.
Her 2023 EP ‘YOUNG’ signaled a stylistic evolution, followed by international collaborations with artists like Jerry Folk, Figtape, and Berlin-based Moritz. Throughout 2024, her presence grew both at home and abroad leading into a Swedish Grammy nomination in 2025. A few months later also a Norwegian Spellemann for her contribution on Jerry Folks EP recognizing her growing impact on the Nordic music scene.
She’s performed at festivals like BY:LARM, CYME Festival, and Jungfrukällarn, and on stages including Nefertiti, Plan B, and Slaktkyrkan. With rotation on Swedish national radio P3 and editorial playlists including Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds’, ’NMF Sweden’, ‘On Repeat’ as well as Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’, ‘RnB Now’, ‘Sounds of Sweden’ not to mention COLORS’ Weekly Releases, Izza has gained further press support from Ones To Watch, FAME Magazine, Stanisland Magazine, Wordplay, and more.
Now preparing to release her most personal project yet: ‘Superbia Hardcore’, a six-track EP fully written and produced by the artist herself, “3000” gives fans a taste of what to expect!
