Reinier Zonneveld’s game-changing Filth on Acid imprint hits its 200th release, with a fresh collab between the label boss himself and long-standing Belgian dance-punk duo The Subs, aka Jeroen De Pessemier and Wiebe Loccufier.
As one of the key figures in today’s hard techno scene, Reinier Zonneveld has reshaped the underground with record-breaking live sets, forward-thinking productions, and a genre-mixing vision. His imprint, Filth on Acid, has just reached a major milestone of 200 releases, cementing its status as a defining platform for the next evolution of techno, with a sound that refuses to be boxed in.
‘Someone To Hold’ is a searing, hard-yet-uplifting techno anthem. With jagged synths, pounding kicks, and a euphoric breakdown built around an angelic trance vocal, it’s a pure hands-in-the-air moment, balancing emotional tension with raw rave energy before the drums storm back in and tear it up once again.
Reinier has commented more on the label’s journey below:
“Nine years ago, the label began in Berlin with nothing, yet quickly gained traction, even with the first release that featured names like Gabriel Ananda and Oliver Koletzki. A big achievement came when I collaborated with Carl Cox in the studio, and he suggested releasing a track on Filth On Acid. In 2018, the release of ‘Inferno’ marked a turning point, which was huge and attracted top artists who consistently sent their best work. The label focuses on signing releases that work for the dancefloor, rather than a specific genre or sound – and we’re constantly evolving, and encouraging artists to share their strongest tracks. Looking back, we as a team are deeply grateful for the journey, the collaborations, and the success we’ve achieved!”
Reinier Zonneveld and The Subs’ ‘Someone To Hold’ is a perfect new-school anthem to mark Filth on Acid’s landmark 200th release – and to propel the label into its next chapter. Catch label boss Zonneveld live over the coming months, including his highly anticipated, stacked R² Festival on 16th August. (tickets here).

About Reinier Zonneveld:
When it comes to stadium-sized techno, Dutch tastemaker Reinier Zonneveld reigns supreme. Known for his fast-paced, bruising beats and marathon 11+ hour live sets, he’s become the face of a new techno generation. Classically trained and holding two master’s degrees, Reinier began releasing music in the early 2010s, with his debut album Reverse Psychology dropping in 2013. After standout releases on Stil vor Talent, such as the single ‘Things We Might Have Said’, he launched his own label, Filth On Acid, in 2017 –now a global powerhouse nearing its 200th release.
His 2023 album Heaven Is Mad (For You) featured breakout tracks like “Dance With The Devil” (16M+ streams) and “Move Your Body To The Beat” (29M+). Reinier’s fearless collaborations span Alok to Carl Cox, reflecting his genre-defying spirit. Always pushing boundaries, he’s playing a 10h set at the 2025 R² Festival, during which (among others) the artists: Angerfist, Showtek, Pan-Pot, DYEN, Charlie Lownoise join in for F2F performances. Zonneveld will end this set with a special A.I. B2B.. For Zonneveld, the future of music is immersive, experimental, and unapologetically raw.
