STATE WITH EAGERLY AWAITED NEW MIXTAPE
15-TRACK PROJECT INCLUDES FEATURES FROM YTB FATT AND ROB49

ALONG WITH RECENT HITS INCLUDING “HEYY,” “ROCK N ROLL,”
AND THE VIRAL FAN FAVORITE TITLE TRACK, “FLORIDA BOY”

Acclaimed rap sensation Luh Tyler has shared his eagerly anticipated new mixtape, Florida Boy, available everywhere now via Motion Music/Atlantic Records. Florida Boy sees Tyler putting his beloved home state at the forefront on confident new tracks such as “New Year, Same Me (Feat. Rob49),” joined by an official music video premiering today at 3 PM ET on YouTube.

The 15-track project is further highlighted by a feature from West Arkansas rapper YTB Fatt along with recent releases including “Heyy,” the anthemic “Rock N Roll,” and the viral hit title track, “Florida Boy,” the latter joined by an official music video now boasting over 1.2M views via YouTube as well an exclusive “Florida Boy (Remix)” featuring the one and only Wiz Khalifa. “Florida Boy” was met by widespread national applause upon its arrival earlier this year, earning praise from such outlets as Stereogum, which declared it “a magnificent showcase for Tyler’s intensely low-key whisper-drawl.” UPROXX hailed the track’s official music video as “a swaggering, unapologetic ode to his home,” writing, “There is absolutely no shame in the 19-year-old rapper’s game as he proudly waves the flag for his home state, showcasing staples of The Sunshine State’s vibrant hip-hop culture. Everybody in the video has grills, locs, and chains; Tyler gets his hair done outside an apartment building; and the fellas alternate between hollering at ladies as they pass by and dismissing them in favor of continuing to hang out on the block.

Wielding a wavy flow, irresistible melodies, and inventive dynamics, Luh Tyler animates bouncy anthems with undeniable unpredictability. He switches lanes seamlessly between his signature laidback cadence and airy high register, touting a style all his own. It’s why he’s quietly emerged as a vibrant voice out of his native Tallahassee, FL, all before the age of 16. Inspired by local favorites Wizz Havin, Trapland Pat, L.O.E. Shimmy, and more, he started to upload music of his own. Following “5 On It Freestyle,” he gained traction with “Jayda Wayda.” Meanwhile, “Law & Order” posted up over 3.9M YouTube views. Pitchfork hailed “I Gotta Slide” among “The Ones” and professed, “I particularly like moments when his voice cracks or sounds dry; it makes lines stick in your mind.

During late 2022, Tyler popped off with “Back Flippin,” now with over 43M Spotify streams and an official music video boasting over 13M YouTube views. In 2023, Tyler released his debut mixtape, My Vision, which debuted #2 on Billboard‘s “Heatseekers” chart and was praised by the likes of BillboardComplex, and Pitchfork, which declared him “The Coolest 16-Year-Old Rapper in America,” adding, “The trippy rhythm paired with his cloud of punchlines delivered in that middle-aged cigarette smoker voice makes doing absolutely nothing sound cool as shit. You don’t need to be a teenager to get behind that.

Having landed among the 2023 XXL Freshman Class and been named to Billboard‘s “21 Under 21” list, 2024 saw the arrival of Tyler’s Atlantic Records debut album, Mr. Skii, highlighted by such singles as “Mr. Skii,” “2 Slippery (Feat. BossMan Dlow),” “TH2DH,” and “Young N****a,” alongside features from Kodak Black, BLP Kosher, Veeze, and Trapland Pat. Tyler marked the album’s arrival with The Mr. Skii Tour – his biggest North American headline tour to date – as well as a special guest run on A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s epic Better Off Alone Tour that included performances at Los Angeles, CA’s Kia Forum, Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre,  and New York City’s world-famous Madison Square Garden. This year, with the release of Florida Boy and accolades including Billboard’s 2025 “21 Under 21” list, Tyler continues his momentum.
