Songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Chezile shares a new single “Alē.” Short for his real name, Alejandro, the song plays as a coming of age story as he navigates new experiences. Speaking about the new song, Chezile shares – “Alē is about my story coming from being homeless and unacknowledged as an artist to being overstimulated by artificial relationships and attention rooting from my growth and wanting to run back home to New Mexico.” Chezile first debuted the new single on Medium Size Backyard with Pigeons & Planes.
This latest release follows his viral psychedelic indie-pop single “Beanie,” which has amassed a total of 300 million streams to date, as well as “Still In Love,” a soulful and tender song towards a lover who fails to reciprocate the same feelings, and “Blue” a dreamy track about being emotionally tied to someone regardless of the circumstances. The new singles hint at a larger body of work to come soon.
Starting in May, Chezile will embark on his first headline U.S. tour. with support from Valley Boy. The seven-date run hits San Luis Obispo, Santa Ana (sold out), Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Barbara—and both the Los Angeles and Brooklyn shows which are already sold out.
