HEADLINING 80K PERSON STADIUM SHOW
Award-winning, multi-platinum French-Malian superstar Aya Nakamura announces her new album Destinée, to be released November 21st. Coinciding with news of her album, Nakamura has also announced a massive stadium show at Paris Stade de France happening on May 29th, 2026. Pre-sale will start Tuesday October 28th at 10:00am Paris time.
Aya Nakamura says :
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be back with an album that’s truly me and, finally, to share it with all of my fans. Destinée is a piece of my soul, and announcing the Stade de France show is like going full-circle. I can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all.”
Destinée will be Aya Nakamura’s much-anticipated fifth album, following the French #1 album DNK (2023), the France Music Award-winning album Aya (2020), her global breakthrough album Nakamura (2018) – now the most-streamed French-language album of all time – and her platinum debut album Journal Intime (2017).
This new album and Paris Stade France show (80,000 capacity) will highlight a 10-year career filled with success, marked by sold-out arenas, prestigious magazine covers such as the French editions of Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Billboard, and culture-defining performances, such as Vogue World and the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, which was viewed by billions across the globe.
The New York Times stated then that “Aya Nakamura, the French-Malian singer, did more than open the Games. She redefined what it means to be French.”
Born in Bamako, Mali and raised in the Northern Paris suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois, Aya Nakamura comes from a family of griots (West African storytellers) and is the eldest of her five siblings. Her music is described as a powerful and unique fusion of Pop, Afrobeats, Caribbean Zouk and R&B, characterized by her distinct vocal style, slang-spiced lyrical creativity and captivating melodies.
The singer-songwriter broke onto the global scene in 2018 with the smash hit “Djadja” from her 2M+ selling sophomore album Nakamura. It was soon followed by four other #1 singles – “Copines,” “Jolie Nana,” “Plus Jamais (feat. Stormzy)” and “Dégaine (feat. Damso)”.
An artist of immense cultural penetration, Aya Nakamura’s work is a testament to authenticity and resilience. Her past A-List collaborations reflect her globally resonant sound, including Ayra Starr, Maluma, Stormzy, Myke Towers, Davido and Major Lazer to name a few.
Her repertoire totals now over 7 Billion global streams, making her the most-streamed French female artist in history, and she is followed by 20 Million+ fans on social media. She is also the new face of Lancôme as their Global Ambassador.
Destinée is out November 21st on digital platforms, CD and Vinyl via Nakamura Industrie / Warner Music France.
