AMIRA ELFEKY RELEASES NEW SINGLE “DEATH OF ME” OUT NOW

NEW SINGLE TO ACCOMPANY “WILL YOU LOVE ME WHEN I’M DEAD” AND “REMAINS OF US” ON FORTHCOMING EP, SURRENDER

“Amira Elfeky is one of the fastest-rising artists in the ongoing nu-metal resurgence… Elfeky folds the dirgy alt-metal of Deftones, the melancholy goth-rock of Evanescence and the eerie doom-gaze of King Woman into her bleary-eyed sound.” – REVOLVER

Amira Elfeky has shared a new single entitled “Death Of Me,” available now via Anemoia Records/Atlantic Records. It notably marks her first release of 2025 and paves the way for forthcoming EP, Surrender, which also features the previously-released “Will You Love Me When I’m Dead” and “Remains of Us.”

Produced by Zakk Cervini [Poppy, Architects, Spiritbox] and Julian Garguilo, the new single’s distorted guitar underscores Elfeky’s evocative and entrancing delivery. Emotionally charged verses give way to a heartbroken and hypnotic hook, “Loving you is suicide. Baby you’re the death of me. Once again, she delivers an unpredictable and undeniable anthem steeped in goth romance, metallic attitude, alternative experimentation, and unassuming pop appeal.

Additionally, Elfeky capped off a busy 2024 with the release of the Will You Love Me When I’m Dead. The hard-hitting track amassed over 4.5 million Spotify streams and 186K YouTube views on the official performance video. Right out of the gate, Revolver named it one of the “6 Best New Songs Right Now, claiming, “Despite the dejection, the singer sounds anything but deflated. Spiritually downhearted, but sonically massive. She also dropped an Unplugged version of the track.

Last year, she also dropped Remains of Us” with Scarlet House, which has accumulated over 1.9 million Spotify streams and counting. Upon arrival, Revolver touted it among the “6 Best New Songs Right Now, going on to applaud how, Amira Elfeky brings a profoundly haunted and fully mesmerizing kind of longing to her latest nu-gaze single. “Remains of Us followed the release of her debut EP, Skin to Skin, which is highlighted by incendiary tracks like “Everything I Do Is For You,” “A Dozen Roses,” and her acclaimed major label debut single, “Coming Down.”

Hailed by Revolver for a “sensual sound one part Deftones’ gauzy alt-metal and one part Evanescence’s soaring goth-rock,” Elfeky marked the arrival of Skin To Skin last year with a momentous live headline debut performance at Los Angeles, CA’s Moroccan Lounge, which was followed by a much-anticipated series of West Coast headline shows. Elfeky also embarked on a major North American tour alongside The Used and special guests Story of the Year.

Fueled by an unyielding passion for heavy rock, Amira Elfeky draws inspiration from the fervor of nu-metal and the evocative soundscapes of the 2000s. Elfeky’s relationship with Anemoia Records began almost two years ago, when she and masterer/mixer Tylor Bondar (BRELAND, Sueco) started working on music in imprint founder Ian Hunter’s Los Angeles home. She honed in on her sound with relentless effort, finally unveiling “Tonight (Demo)“ in July 2023. Rich with indelible intensity and raw authenticity, the youji2k produced track – which demonstrates Elfeky’s burgeoning prowess as she navigates the complex terrain of mental health struggles and codependency within relationships – proved an immediate sensation, earning more than 12.5M streams to date. A striking “Tonight” live performance video can be viewed now via YouTube HERE.

In addition, Elfeky shared her arresting cover of System of a Down’s classic “Lonely Day,” streaming now exclusively via Spotify Singles. Revolver hailed the track upon release, raving, “Through Elfeky’s lens, Daron Malakian’s bittersweet ballad takes on a sultrier and gothier blood-soaked sheen.”

Now, with Skin To Skin, Amira Elfeky stands at the forefront of a heavy rock renaissance, beckoning fans to immerse themselves in her cyber-infused sonic universe and witness the rebirth of a musical era through her innovative lens.
