RING RING ARRIVES VIA ATLANTIC RECORDS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 24
Acclaimed Mexican/Salvadoran-American singer-songwriter Niko Rubio has announced the release of her eagerly anticipated new EP, Ring Ring, arriving everywhere via Atlantic Records on Tuesday, June 24. Pre-saves are available now HERE.
Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Lester Mendez (Shakira, Santana, Nelly Furtado), Ring Ring was heralded earlier this month by the intoxicating lead single and title track, “Ring Ring,” available now. A sultry official music video – directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker William Bonnell and award-winning British fine artist Lucia Farrow – is streaming now on YouTube. Co-written by Rubio, Mike Rincon, and Julian Bernal (Kali Uchis, Sebastian Yatra) and already a fan favorite thanks to a series of hugely popular teases across social media, “Ring Ring” is powered by boisterous horns, a laidback reggae guitar groove, and Rubio’s sun-kissed jazzy cadence.
Discussing the project, Rubio shares, “Sonically inspired by the California beaches and trips to Mexico City, my second Spanish EP Ring Ring, might be my favorite project I’ve ever made. I wanted to be really honest and real but I try not to take myself too seriously. There’s a song you can dance to, one you can cry to, one you can sing along to and one that’ll make u wanna do it all simultaneously (let me know if you know which one I’m talking about when you hear it)…. If u chose to listen to this EP the old fashion way then you’ll have to find a body of water, grab a margarita, and your closest friends. Also don’t forget to wear sunscreen!!”
Rubio will celebrate the arrival of Ring Ring with a very special hometown release day live performance at Los Angeles, CA’s Moroccan Lounge on Tuesday, June 24. Additional dates will be announced soon. For updates and ticket information, please visit www.nikorubio.com.

Ring Ring sees Rubio continuing her collaboration with producer Lester Mendez following her remarkable 2024 EP, Mar y Tierra. Her first full Spanish-language effort, the project saw the Los Angeles-based songstress merging her distinctive storytelling prowess with traditional Mexican instrumentation to deeply explore her own personal journey on acclaimed singles like “Besito” and “Sirena (Feat. Cuco),” the latter of which has earned close to 1.5M worldwide streams thus far. From the soft sway of “Baby” to the intensely vulnerable “Quisiera Saber” and upbeat electric ska of “No Lo Volvere a Hacer,” Ring Ring wades through an array of styles, vibes, and emotions, leaving a hypnotic, distinctly original hybrid in its wake.
“I’ve been trying to make this project for my whole life,” Niko Rubio says. “It’s part of my puzzle musically. It’s the mesh of everything I was raised on and what I’m passionate about. I proved to myself I could do it, and I’m sharing it with the world.”
Hailed by Rolling Stone for her “beachside, Pacific Coast Highway-inspired sounds” in its “10 Latin Acts Set To Make It Big” feature, Niko Rubio has quickly become known for her matchless blend of pop, indie rock, and traditional Mexican music, a singular sound characterized by ethereal vocals, introspective lyrics, and a seamless fusion of genres that reflect both her Californian upbringing and Mexican/Salvadoran heritage. Rubio made her breakthrough debut with 2021’s debut EP, Wish You Were Here, earning millions of worldwide streams with singles like “Saving Me,” “Can’t Pretend,” and “Amor,” the latter of which was featured in a successful Walmart TV campaign. Niko continued to hone her culture-integrating vision with 2023’s un millón de besos, featuring such singles as “Olvidar de Ti,” “Left You,” and the tender title track, the latter of which was joined by a stripped-down acoustic video streaming HERE.
Rubio – who has further sharpened her songwriting skills by collaborating with such diverse fellow artists as Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Anuel AA, Foreign Tech, and The Warning – has already proven iconic thanks to her starring role in Dr. Martens’ 2023 “Made Strong” campaign and high-profile media coverage spanning Vogue Mexico, Billboard, PAPER, Latina, and more. As dynamic and inventive on stage as she is in the studio, Niko has won over countless new fans with mesmerizing live appearances including tours alongside Omar Apollo, Role Model, Chase Atlantic, and The Marías and show-stopping festival performances at Lollapalooza, BottleRock Napa Valley, Summerfest, Corona Capital, SXSW, and more. Now, with Ring Ring, Niko Rubio is poised to extend her uncompromising creative vision farther than ever before, her own extraordinary journey uniquely enabling her to offer positive vibrations and luminous energy wherever she may travel.
“I want young girls to feel seen in the same way I felt seen by the artists I loved,” Rubio says. “My sonic palette is different. My music is for the Latina girls who love Gwen Stefani, Foster The People, and Julieta Venegas, heard all of the classic Latin artists at a quinceañera, and went back to school where everybody was listening to Lana Del Rey. I know that girl exists. That girl is like, ‘When is some bitch going to make something weird for me?’ Well, I’m finally here for you.”
