Tourist’s sixth studio album, Music Is Invisible, is available everywhere now via Queens Road Music / AndRECORDS / Atlantic Records. The 10-track collection marks a bold leap into an unexplored sonic landscape, reflecting the UK-based artist’s most luminous and emotionally charged work to date. Across the project, Tourist embraces an energized, trance-inspired direction highlighted on such spellbinding new tracks as “Invisible” (featuring acclaimed ambient composer Julianna Barwick), “In Unison,” the epic “Veil” (sampling Grimes’s “So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth”), “Embrace,” and “Outside,” the latter of which is joined by a cinematic official music video directed by Duncan Loudon (Skepta, BADBADNOTGOOD), streaming now on YouTube HERE.

I love to tell melodic stories, and trance is all about melodic stories,” says Tourist. “The root of this album was my instinct as a musician. I’ve discovered an older sense of myself by making this body of work.”

Music Is Invisible was quickly met by critical applause from the likes of CLASH, which raved, “The album feels made to occupy big spaces – huge rooms, festival fields – with Tourist dealing in broad brush strokes. There’s intimacy at times, too, while a handful of guests – an enchanting Julianna Barwick vocal, for example – add daubs of color.” “Music Is Invisible finds (Tourist) diving headfirst into uplifting trance music to produce an album that proves euphoria requires just as much craft as melancholy ever did,” declared  EDM.com. “Tourist’s sixth album suggests that invisibility isn’t music’s weakness but its superpower, harnessing the ability to reach places that eyes and hands could never touch.

Last week saw Tourist heralding Music Is Invisible with a series of special events as he introduced local fans to the album with a vinyl test pressing listening party held at a local pub.  The Invisible Tour 2026 officially gets underway with a series of EU/UK headline dates beginning February 22 at Glasgow’s SWG3 and then making stops including London’s O2 Academy Brixton (February 27), Amsterdam, NL’s Melkweg (March 6), and Brussels, BE’s Ancienne Belgique (March 8).
