A NOSTALGIC GROOVE THAT HITS HARD IN 2025
Janika Tenn, the rising star of the House music scene, returns with a nostalgic yet forward-thinking single, “Going Down,” released via her own imprint, Tenn Tonik. The track pays homage to the golden era of 90s club culture, blending classic influences with Tenn’s signature modern twist.
Driven by rolling basslines, jacking drums, and playful vocal snippets, “Going Down” draws inspiration from both Italian and UK House styles. Strings and disco-infused elements add a vibrant texture, while a cleverly chosen sample gives the track a distinctive edge. It’s a dancefloor-ready cut that captures the euphoric “nothing else matters” energy of a night out.
Tenn Tonik, Tenn’s artist-led label, continues to carve out a space for groove-heavy, vocal-led House music. With a focus on timeless sounds over fleeting trends, the label reflects Tenn’s uncompromising artistic vision and commitment to club culture.
Janika Tenn’s momentum has been undeniable. She’s previously released on Defected’s D4Dance, won an Armada remix competition for Maxim Lany, and earned editorial support across Beatport, Spotify, and Apple Music. Her live résumé includes performances alongside legends like Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, and Chris Lake, with appearances at ADE, Ministry of Sound, XOYO, and Miami Music Week.
Following her collaborative debut on Tenn Tonik with Todd Terry’s “Laid Back,” Tenn has continued to define the label’s sound through solo releases. This summer, she held a residency at Eden Ibiza for Terry’s Freeze Project and is set to tour Asia while launching new residencies in Tallinn and London.
“Going Down” drops October 3, 2025, promising a blend of retro flair and contemporary production that’s sure to resonate with DJs and club-goers alike
