CO-SIGNS FROM RICK ROSS, YOUNG T & BUGSEY, CHIP, FALLY IPUPA & MORE

Embracing the warmer months, the UK’s bubbling trailblazer Jorday has returned with a summer-infused EP titled, ‘Before Summer Ends’. Bursting with vibrancy from the offset, Jorday has built a reputation surrounding his contemporary approach to Pop and R&B. Accumulating co-signs from household names including Rick Ross, Young T & Bugsey, Chip, Fally Ipupa as well as press support from Complex UK, TRENCH, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, GRM Daily, Mixtape Madness, and more, ‘Before Summer Ends’ is a gift for fans; the perfect soundtrack for any occasion.

Following his headline show and opening up for UK hit-makers Young T & Bugsey, Jorday has formed a cult-like fanbase who often refer to him as “the future of UK R&B”. Housing a string of successful singles this year including fan-favourite “In The Air” which has since garnered over 77,000 views on YouTube alone, the singer-songwriter bares all in his most vulnerable project to date. Spread across 3 indulgent tracks, this EP captures the essence of summer. Boasting infectious melodies and Jorday’s signature silk-like tone, ‘Before Summer Ends’ explores a fleeting summer romance, self-reflection, and personal evolution. Introduced with the sensual sounds of “Loyal”, Jorday swiftly turns up the tempo in “M.I.A”, an irresistible dancefloor filler before closing out with “Summer Time”. Posing as a taste of what’s yet to arrive, the newcomer is on a mission to solidify his one-to-watch status.

When asked about the EP Jorday shared, “This EP is a reflection of everything I’ve been sitting with over the past year — from growth and grief to joy and release. It’s raw, it’s real, and it feels like the most honest thing I’ve put out yet.”

Jorday’s Bio
From a young age, Jorday’s always had his eye on performing in front of crowds. Since 2016, the singer-songwriter has blended his crisp vocals with melodic dance beats, pushing his name into the conversation with each release.

Born to Congolese parents, Jorday moved to the UK from The Netherlands when he was seven. Jorday’s sound is enriched by those cultures he’s grown up in but it’s the UK scene which has made him the artist he is today. At home, Michael Jackson would be the soundtrack to his childhood growing up but the musical legend’s work ethic and determination is what also inspired Jorday.

Like many that came before him, Jorday’s story began at home where his family was his first inspiration. Being around his mum, aunts, uncles and siblings allowed him to channel that interest. As a child, Jorday was an avid member of his church’s choir which not only gave him the foundations for a musical understanding but also the panache of a performer from a young age. In his own words: “Music is in the blood.”

Jorday’s spent the past few years honing and refining the sound he wants to be known for and in this new chapter of his career, his only expectation is to continue raising the bar for himself.
